Welcome to our Columbus Buddy Walk team fundraising page! We can't wait to celebrate our loved one with Down syndrome on Sunday, September 29, 2024! Thanks to DSACO. I was blessed to receive the 2024 Marge Barnheiser Advocacy Scholarship to attend the NDSS Down Syndrome Advocacy Conference in Washington DC and Advocated on Capital Hill for positive change! I met fellow peers from all over the USA advocating for change.
With over 250,000 people in the United States with Down syndrome, we strive to provide tools and opportunities that promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion in our communities. Every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to ensuring that our child and every individual will have the opportunity to reach their potential.
Our fundraising efforts will support local programs and services through the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO), as well as National Down Syndrome Society advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all people with Down syndrome.
I am Honored to be a recipient of a 2024 DSACO Post-Secondary Scholarship. I look forward to continue my education at The Ohio State University where I work at the Woody Hayes Center as an Intern with The Ohio State Football strength & conditioning staff, as well as an OSU Community Engagement Ambassador with Student Life at the Ohio Union.
