Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Registration Is Now Open!
Join the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the 30th Annual Pittsburgh Buddy Walk®. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and register to volunteer! Help us spread the word; all are welcome for our day of celebration!
Three Volunteer shifts are available: Shift 1 from 8:30am-12:30pm, Shift 2 from 11:30am-3:30pm, and Shift 3 from 2:30pm-6:30pm.
Volunteer roles include:
- Setting up at PNC Park (stations, assembling yard games, putting up signs, and ensuring the event is ready for guests prior to arrival)
- Assisting with registration and with mascots
- Working the merchandise table and working with vendors
- Managing the raffle baskets area or hospitality tents
- Selling raffle tickets
- Assisting with the outdoor concert following the Walk
- Assisting raffle basket winners with taking baskets to their vehicles
- General event clean-up
