Step Up for Down Syndrome is the Central Valley’s largest Down syndrome awareness event. Bringing together hundreds of families & friends from Merced to Tulare counties together to celebrate the abilities, value and all around awesomeness of our friends with Down syndrome. We will be back inside the Rodeo Grounds (NOT the parking lot) and encourage all our families and teams to bring their own shade tents, blankets or chairs to sit on and enjoy the festivities!
It is a great opportunity for our families & friends to come meet others from the Ds community, make life long connections, and learn more about the resources and services available.
The day will feature a Resource Area, Kid zone, Food trucks, *NEW* Shoe Shuck competition, Walk of Fame, the DSACC Family Tent for friends to gather under, an AMAZING performance by our friends from Break the Barriers, Music, Dancing, Trackless train rides, and a 1/4 mile awareness walk.
Please note that the walk route is out the parking lot to Clovis Avenue and then back into the lot from 5th Avenue. ***Parents who have small kiddos or friends who like to run - please note we are walking along a very busy street for a bit, so plan accordingly! Team costumes & team spirit encouraged- we will be awarding a prize for the Most Spirited Team!
To participate in this event, select the "REGISTER" button to set up a new or returning team, join a team, or register as an individual. Additional family/team members can be added by selecting the green "Add Another Registrant" button during Step 3. After you complete registration you can start your team or personal fundraising page by selecting the "Fundraising Page Set Up" button at the top of the online receipt.
Returning Team Captains please note: in Step 2 of registration, you can enter your user name and password to have access to your team and donor information from the prior year. If you do not remember your credentials, you can request them in this step. Click here for instructions.
