Online donation will remain open through November 30th, so you can still support your loved one with Down syndrome or their team.


2024 DSACT Buddy Walk®

Join the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas (DSACT) as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the 2024 DSACT Buddy Walk®. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and donate or register today! Help us spread the word; all are welcome for our day of celebration!

The DSACT Buddy Walk® is our biggest community event of the year that brings together over 1400 people from the Central Texas community to celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome! At this event, we have endless family fun in store including mini golf, pedal boats, visits from princesses and stormtroopers, a petting zoo, face painting, a dance party, our famous walk, and more!

As our largest fundraiser, this event culminates the months of fundraising by community members like YOU! The money raised during Buddy Walk® season helps to fund DSACT's core programming including: 

-Our New Parent Program that welcomes new families to our wonderful community

-Six social groups that encourage lifelong friendships through frequent events

-Recreation programs like kayak camp, book club, art, dance, and fitness that create an inclusive space to make new friends

-Training sessions and conferences for local medical and educational professionals in best practices for their patients and students

-A one-of-a-kind speech therapy program that opens endless opportunities for independence

If you cannot participate in this event but would like to make a donation to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas, please select the DONATE button. You can also donate to an individual or team by visiting their fundraising page under the TEAMS/PEOPLE tab.


Registration Information:

To participate in this event, select the "REGISTER" button to set up a new or returning team, join a team, or register as an individual Additional family members can be added by selecting the green "Add Another Registrant" button during Step 3.  After you register, you can start your team or personal fundraising page by selecting the "Fundraising Page Set Up" button at the top of the online receipt.

Returning Team Captains please note: in Step 2 of registration, you can enter your user name and password to have access to your team and donor information from the prior year.  If you do not remember your credentials, you can request them in this step. Click here for instructions.

Registration Fees:

Adult Ticket – $21(Participants 13 years and older)

Child Ticket - $3 (Participants 12 years and under)

DSACT Buddy Walk® T-Shirts:

  • Please Note that as of 10/1, t-shirts are not guaranteed to arrive on time. You are still welcome to purchase a t-shirt to wear year- round!
  • Buddy Walk® t-shirts can be designed and purchased on a separate website called Bonfire. This platform allows for more customizable t-shirts which can be shared with everyone you know! 
  • You can customize the official DSACT Buddy Walk® t-shirts to include your team names, choose your own color, OR design your own from scratch!
  • If you don't want to customize or design your own shirt, the official DSACT Buddy Walk® t-shirt is available to purchase.
  • Bonfire removes the middle-man. T-shirts are sent directly to the customer, so you don't have to worry about lines at the event or early t-shirt pick up. 
  • You can also share your t-shirt design with friends and family across the country so they can support your team even if they cannot attend the DSACT Buddy Walk®. 

T-shirts are not included in the registration fee. The registration fee covers other event costs like lunch, event staff, venue, activities, etc.
