Welcome to our Tulsa Buddy Walk team fundraising page! This is our 9th year to attend Buddy Walk and we hope you will join us in support of Team Tristan this year in person if you are local. If you are not local or not able to be with us at the event, you can still join Team Tristan as a Non-Walker to show your support, you can make a donation of any amount to go towards our fundraising goal, and you can even still order your very own official Tulsa Buddy Walk t-shirt.
We are walking to celebrate and show our support for our child and more than 400,000 other individuals with Down syndrome in the U.S. Every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to ensuring that our child and every individual will have the opportunity to reach their potential. What does that mean for us personally and our local organization you may wonder. The Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa (DSAT) has become an invaluable community of friends and framily to us--advising us, encouraging us, providing resources to attend a national Down syndrome conference, offering educational opportunities, hosting social gatherings, supporting our growth and development, and so much more, all from a place of walking the journey of Down sydrome personally as well.
Our fundraising efforts will continue to make all of that possible for our family and so many others to support local programs and services, as well as National Down Syndrome Society advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.
