Welcome to our Chattanooga Autism Celebration Walk team fundraising page! We've created this team because we want to raise money and make a difference by participating in the Chattanooga Autism Celebration Walk. The more people who know about autism spectrum disorders and support this event, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity; it means a lot!

Our fundraising efforts will support local programs and services, as well as advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with autism in our community.

Make your tax-deductible donation today and take the first step toward helping us achieve our goal. Thank you for your support!

As DSAP continues to spotlight our new Board of Directors, please join us in welcoming them to the DSAP community and celebrating their passions and inspirations for joining DSAP's Board!

Today's spotlight features Stephanie Zagrocki, who is a licensed PA attorney and works for Mitsubishi Electric Power Products in Warrendale. A former registered nurse and graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Stephanie came to Pittsburgh in 1995 to attend law school at Duquesne University. She now resides in Wexford with her husband, Eric, and their six children.

Her oldest is a college senior while her youngest is ten-year old Madeline (Madi), who opened her eyes to the needs of a person with Down syndrome. As Madi’s primary advocate, Stephanie has utilized many of the athletic and social opportunities offered in our local community that promote a healthy and fulfilling life for Madi. Seeing the impact of these opportunities firsthand, Stephanie wants to support the mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh and believes that all individuals with Down syndrome should have the opportunity to participate in activities of interest and to otherwise benefit from the support the Association offers.

Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, whether it is being outdoors hiking, skiing, or swimming; or indoors at a concert, show or movie.

Welcome Stephanie! #dsapgh #dsapboardofdirectors #advocate #community #volunteersrock #downsyndrome

DSAP continues to shout out our 4th Annual Topgolf Fundraiser sponsors and today we'd like to thank @abc_ds_. As a Building Community Partner, we appreciate your support of this year's 4th Annual DSAP Topgolf Fundraiser and this year's 30th Annual Pittsburgh Buddy Walk® happening on Saturday, October 19.

The Alzheimer Biomarker Consortium-Down Syndrome (ABC-DS) is a 5-year research project where we follow a group of adult volunteers with Down syndrome to find signs and risks of Alzheimer’s. As part of the study, we gather data through brain scans, blood tests, and exams that look at how people with Down syndrome think.

ABC-DS has a crucial mission: to spot the early signs of Alzheimer’s in adults with Down syndrome. We aim to trace the journey from healthy aging to mild memory problems, and finally, to Alzheimer’s. Together, we’ll work to uncover hidden links that give us a fighting chance against Alzheimer’s disease.
