DSA of the Heartland Buddy Walk®

Tailgating starts at 3:30 pm & Walk starts at 5:00pm EST


Event Details

3:30pm- Teams will be able to arrive to start tailgating in their marked areas. We encourage you to bring a pop up tent if you would like, maybe a table and some folding chairs, snacks/appetizers for your team participants, games such as corn hole, etc. We will have plenty of things going on for everyone so please don't feel like you have to do anything besides show up and have a good time. We will have inflatables, face painting, games, pumpkin painting, community service heroes will be set up and a couple other booths will be set up.

***Elizabethtown Police Dept will have a booth set up and you can get your paperwork filled out for the new Light My Way Home program! If you wish to get everything completed at the walk bring with you a couple printed photos of your child for them to take and put in the database. One a headshot and another full body photo are what they will need! We are SO excited to be able to partner with EPD to bring this to our community!!!! 

5:00pm- National Anthem by our sweet Hannah Crim and 4th Annual Buddy Walk Kick off and introduction of teams!

5:45pm (or immediately following walk)- Medals will be awarded and a word about Elizabethtown's new Fully Inclusive Playground by Mayor Gregory and one of our Presenting Sponsors, Miracle Playgrounds KY & TN!

6:00pm- Grab some food if you haven't eaten yet-- we will have someone grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for us all day starting at 3:30!! Check out the ice cream truck also that will be there starting at 3:30! The ice cream truck (Dizzy Dip) will be the only thing not included if you choose to purchase that-- I think you will want to!
