The Buddy Walk began in Delaware in 2004 as an opportunity to promote awareness and acceptance for people with Down syndrome (DS). It has grown from 500 participants in the first year to more than 2,000 annually. More than 90% of all money raised from the Buddy Walk comes from individual donations, indicating community support of our mission.
Striving to serve individuals with DS and their families, the DSA of Delaware provides year round support, outreach, and resources for new or expectant parents, social engagement for all ages, fitness opportunities for individuals, education for parents and professionals, and scholarships for camps and conferences.
Event Sponsorship provides an opportunity to promote your business while at the same time supporting the walk and ultimately our mission. There are several levels of sponsorship. Please refer to our 2019 Sponsorship Packet for more details. We are always willing to customize a sponsorship to fit your budget.
Support your team and promote your company at the same time. Unlike Event Sponsorships donations from t-shirt sponsors are applied to team totals. For just $500 your company logo can appear on the back of the 2019 Buddy Walk Event T-shirts or for $250 your company name can be listed. T-shirt sponsors must submit their logo or name with payment, no later than April 24th.
