Team Walk Years: 4
https://www.ds-stride.org/columbusbuddywalk/profiles/team/mightymallory

Welcome to our 2018 Columbus Buddy Walk® team fundraising page! We can't wait to join thousands of other participants at MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday, September 30, 2018 to celebrate all of our fundraising success! Please stay tuned for more information about our team regarding upcoming fundraising opportunities and our team's tailgating plans for the day of the walk.

This year will mark Mallory’s 4th Buddy Walk! (Seriously where does the time go?!). Mallory continues to thrive and develop so many new skills each year. This year we have been working hard on her language development and potty training (she is so close!). Did you know Mallory has a private car service that takes her to school? We are very fortunate to live in a school district with exceptional resources to allow us to both work full time without sacrificing Mallory’s learning and development. Mallory loves school and has started to tell us stories of her friends, and she can site read all of their names! We celebrate development milestones like this and so many others because we see how hard she works to achieve them. DSACO has played a role in each of the areas above, by providing us state law and guidance to help navigate the school district IEP process and by offering potty training classes for parents to help us encourage our little ones. These are only two very small examples of why DSACO is so important to us and why we fundraise! Mallory continues to prove that her life is more typical than different. Please join us at the 2018 Buddy Walk and in fundraising to continue to promote awareness, acceptance and inclusion in our communities for Mallory!

With over 250,000 people in the United States with Down syndrome, we strive to provide tools and opportunities that promote awarenessacceptance and inclusion in our communities. Every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to ensuring that our child and every individual will have the opportunity to reach their potential.

Our fundraising efforts will support local programs and services, as well as National Down Syndrome Society advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.

Make your tax-deductible donation today and take the first step toward helping us achieve our goal. Thank you for your support!

In honor of today, 3.21 World Down Syndrome Day, we'd like you to join us in celebrating Mallory, and all individuals with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome, and spread awareness, acceptance and inclusion!
Mallory is a very sweet but sassy little girl who works hard for her accomplishments. The sound of her voice saying “I wuv u Mommy” fill me up and remind me to let go of the things I can't control, because she is perfect! #worlddownsyndromeday2018 #theluckyfew
