Join Down Syndrome Family Connection as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the 2024 Buddy Walk® in Bloomington. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and donate or register today! Help us spread the word; all are welcome to join our celebration!

The Buddy Walk® in Bloomington is Down Syndrome Family Connection's biggest event of the year. Much more than a fundraiser walk, this event is a fun-filled family-friendly event, featuring carnival games, karaoke, food trucks, and other entertainment. All people with disabilities are celebrated and honored as our MVPs for the day, and the event is highly anticipated each year as the largest (and most fun!) gathering for the local disability community. Many people from the community at large also come for the fun and to support DSFC and our constituents. Attendees include people of all ages and all abilities, from Monroe County and several other surrounding counties.The event is free, with the option to purchase an event t-shirt.  

To participate in this event, select the "REGISTER" button to set up a new or returning team, join a team, or register as an individual. Additional family/team members can be added by selecting the green "Add Another Registrant" button during Step 3. After you complete registration you can start your team or personal fundraising page by selecting the "Fundraising Page Set Up" button at the top of the online receipt.

Returning Team Captains please note: in Step 2 of registration, you can enter your user name and password to have access to your team and donor information from the prior year.  If you do not remember your credentials, you can request them in this step. Click here for instructions.

If you cannot participate in this event but would like to make a donation to Down Syndrome Family Connection, please select the DONATE button. You can also direct your donation to the total raised by an individual or team by visiting their fundraising page under the TEAMS/PEOPLE tab.

Registration Fees: (Shirts cannot be guaranteed if ordered after 9/12)  

Participant with t-shirt: $20 includes registration with a t-shirt.

Participant without a shirt: free, registration only.

Self Advocate with t-shirt: free registration and a t-shirt for individuals with Down syndrome or other disability.

The 2025 “Beautiful Faces, Extraordinary Lives” calendar is available for purchase in the cart during registration checkout.  If you want to order a calendar after registration, click here for details. Calendars will be available for pick-up at the Buddy Walk, or will be shipped after the event if you have pre-paid for shipping.
