WHAT: The Bay Area Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk & Family picnic is an annual event that brings the community together for a day of fun activities, inspirational walkers and record-breaking fundraising. The best part of this event is when we loudly and proudly recognize our members with Down syndrome and their accomplishments at the finish line.
Enjoy the fun-filled day with Lawn Games, Face Painting, Character Appearances, Family Picnics, Team Photo Opportunities and more! Nothing fills our hearts more than the walk day celebration!
WHEN: Saturday, September 28, 2024 | 10 am to 1 pm
WHERE: Oak Hill Park, 3005 Stone Valley Rd, Danville, CA 94526
The beautiful park features a ¼ mile paved loop around a pond and an expansive green lawn area with shade trees. Bring your lawn chairs and plan a picnic lunch.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE & JOIN THE FUN:
1. BECOME A TEAM CAPTAIN AND FUNDRAISE -
Create a Team Page You can be a team captain even if you are not planning to attend the walk by becoming a Virtual Fundraiser. When you register, select “Virtual Team Captain”.
2. REGISTER TO ATTEND THE STEP UP FOR DOWN SYNDROME WALK (no walk-ins, please).
- Attendees aged 4 and up: $10
- Children 3 years and under: Free
- Attendees with DS: Free
