Goal

Join the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the DSAA 2020 Virtual Buddy Walk. Expanding Our World by walking in yours, your way!  Walk, run, bike, or ride with family and friends in your neighborhood, at a local park, trail, or wherever you choose; if you're very brave, walk one mile a day for 21 days! Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show support, take the first step, and donate or register today! 

We encourage teams to walk between the dates of Saturday, October 10th - Saturday, October 31st. The October 10th Buddy Walk Kickoff will happen at in-person drive-thru pickup sites for t-shirts, yard signs, and Buddy Walk Kits, and will include socially distanced family fun activities you’re familiar with (Spider-Man, Elsa). During the 21 days, we will have online incentives, games, and fun leading up to the culmination, a Virtual Celebration on October 31st. DSAA’s Facebook page will be the main hub for all virtual events, so follow us today!

To get started, select the "REGISTER" button to start a team, join a team or register with no team. Additional family/team members can be added by selecting the green "Add Another Registrant" button during Step 3. After you complete registration you can start your team or personal fundraising page by selecting the "Fundraising Page Set Up" button at the top of the online receipt.

If you cannot participate but would like to make a donation to DSAA, please select the DONATE button. You can also donate to an individual or team by visiting their fundraising page under the TEAMS/PEOPLE tab.   Donations of $21 or more will receive a printable pdf image to display in a window to show their support during October. We encourage you to take a photo or video of your buddy walk with the sign in a favorite place in your town and send the photo/video to buddywalk@dsaatl.org. We’d love to see how our DSAA world has expanded this year.

Registration Fees:

Virtual Family Leader - $55 (includes up to 5 registrations with official event t-shirts. You must register by September 21st to get shirts.)
**All family members must be added in the same transaction**

Virtual Walker - $20 (Virtual walk registration, includes t-shirt.  You must register by September 21st to get a t-shirt.)

Purchase Yard Sign Only - free, t-shirt not included.

All Team Captains will receive a Buddy Walk Kit at t-shirt pick up.

**LAST DAY TO REGISTER AND RECEIVE A T-SHIRT IS SEPTEMBER 21ST! WE WILL NOT HAVE EXTRA SHIRTS THIS YEAR**

  • Yard Sign - $21 (Signs will be picked up and distributed by team captains.  Please make sure you can make arrangements with the team captain to get the sign.)
    *Additional signs will be available for purchase during t-shirt pickup
     
  • Pre-Order DSAA Calendar - $21 (Price includes shipping, will be mailed out in December)
